If she takes over unwanted forts or kills a builder unit, my empire's morale plumments so badly it seems irrevocable, but I kick her around and it is not really mattering to her production or sustainable numbers, but maybe if I can pinch her some more. In one turn, I Assassinated Isabel, marched to a city, took it, embarked next turn I disembarked, took a city, marched toward another however, she was already back on the map spamming 2-4 times the spells that I could. The only way I have gotten as far as I have is because all my units eventually begin leveling up to multiple Champion status, but they have to rest and heal eventually and then I loose the advantage. She basically has almost as many units and armies in each city as I do for the whole map. my Krakens were basically in a fight, every few hexes each turn!
Oh yeah, she eventually sends a fleet of insanity after my Krakens. I even had to give up on all base defense just to keep pushing. With one hero using swimming and 5 Krakens, one floating hero with Fire Giants (who still must embark/debark even though he doesn't), 2 other ones using flying mounts and Shadow Stalkers, boosting morale off and on with Buttercup Faries, items, terraforming, etc., I still barely make a dent.Īt one point, my Kraken juggernauts were fighting 2-3 battles per turn for multiple turns and all I have managed to do is take 3 of her towns with my other armies.
It looks like some blitzkrieg (zerg-ish) strategy may be in order again.Īdditonal information: Lesson in the follies of building up. I should know better, but cautioun is my nature. By trying to build up, I have goten myself stuck also.
